After finishing The Other Wes Moore, he makes me believe that we are actually products of my expectations. Don’t get me wrong, I think both our environment and our expectations play a part in shaping who we are but he makes me believe that our expectations might play a bigger role. Through all the hardships he faced, he still made something of himself. He did not let the negative things around him turn negative. He wanted more and expected more for himself so he made sure he got it. Wes Moore did not come from much but he made sure he found a way to obtain the life he wanted.
